Due Mar 31 | ARC Pine Tree Student Fellowship in the Digital Humanities Awards 2017-2018

As part of its effort to encourage student research, the Advanced Research Collaborative (ARC) will be offering two ARC Pine Tree Student Fellowships in the Digital Humanities for the coming academic year 2017-2018. The Awards are valued at $4,000 each and are for one semester only (Fall or Spring). To be eligible, you must be a full time registered doctoral student who has completed the First Exam but not yet completed the Second at the time of the tenure of the award. Preference will be given to those who have been enrolled for no more than three years and who are in the early stages of the formulation of a research idea/proposal.

Students who accept this award will be required to work with the Pine Tree Distinguished Visiting Fellow, GC Digital Initiatives, and the Early Research Initiative on a series of engagements at local libraries, museums, and collections based on various themes such as “ephemera,” “maps,” or “marginalia.” The theme would be chosen partly in consultation with event schedules at institutions such as the Morgan Library, the New York Public Library, and the Grolier Club, so that faculty and student work might build on such activities.

Deadline for applying is Friday, March 31, 2017.   Students will be notified of the selection committee’s decision by April 24h.

Please fill out the application here to be considered for the fellowship.
