  • The 39th Annual Arthur Sweeny Jr. Memorial Lecture – “From Complexes to Aerosols: New Insights into Atmospheric Chemistry”will be presented by Joseph S. Francisco, 2010 President of the American Chemical Societyfrom  University of Pennsylvania on March 22, 2019. The lecture will be in the Music Building, Room 306 at 5:00-6:30 PM.  A dinner (reservations and payments are mandatory) will follow at 6:30 PM.  This event is organized by Prof. Andrei Jitianu. Co-sponsored by the Sweeny Lecture Fund and by Lehman’s School of Natural and Social Sciences.
  • Race, Slavery and the Complications of Patriarchy in the 17th Century British Atlantic – presented by Professor Susan Amussen, University of California, Merced . Thursday, April 18, 2019, in the Graduate Center from 6:00 – 7:30 PM.The event is cosponsored by The Center for the Study of Women & Society. This event is hosted by Professor Susan O’Malley.
  • Mapping the Moral Realm: Philosophy of Stefan Bernard Baumrin. Organized with the Gotham Philosophical Society in honor of Professor Stefan Bernard Baumrin. Monday April 29, Graduate Center room C197 1:30-4:30pm.
  • In Honor of Randy Braham. Cosponsored with the Center for Jewish Studies and Development.  Tuesday April 30, 2019, Graduate Center Skylight Room, 9th Floor, 6:30pm.
