The Vagantes Conference on Medieval Studies is now accepting applications for our 2022 host institution. The conference is an itinerant, interdisciplinary graduate student conference focusing on the Middle Ages, and is entirely organized and run by graduate students. Vagantes is a unique opportunity to showcase the Medieval Studies community at your institution, as well as to gain valuable professional development experience in planning and organizing the event, and to meet and interact with top medievalist graduate students. Applications will be reviewed by the Vagantes Board of Directors, comprised of eight medievalist graduate students. After reviewing the materials the Board may have additional questions for the applicants before reaching a decision. E-mail submissions are required. Given the current situation with COVID-19, the Board of Directors has decided to extend the deadline for host applications. Typically, the deadline would be in early May, but we realize that in the uncertainty of the current circumstances it may not be possible to complete an application within the usual timeframe. Since the situation is still rapidly evolving we have not yet set a new deadline, but we will continue monitoring the situation and will communicate updates when we have them.
